Wells Fargo’s Chief Administrative Office (CAO) consists of enterprise functions that work together to promote and protect the Wells Fargo culture and brand, and support our team members. Groups within CAO work to protect our reputation, tell our story, bolster team member engagement, connect with our customers, and bring new and innovative solutions to life. CAO functions include Commitment to Customer, Corporate Responsibility & Community Relations, Data Management & Insights, Human Resources, Marketing, Stakeholder Relations and the CAO Integration and Planning Office.

Reporting to the Florida & Southeast Regional Communications Leader, this position will develop and execute internal and external regional communications initiatives. He / she will focus on strategic communications objectives that drive awareness, rebuild trust and deliver thought leadership across key external audiences through media relations and executive advocacy efforts. This position will be located at 171 17th Street NW in Atlanta, GA and does not offer relocation assistance.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement strategic communications plans that incorporate internal, media, social, executive and branded-channel communications 
  • Write and edit a variety of complex and/or sensitive communications including breaking news and announcements, media releases, talking points, speeches, scripts and stories 
  • Develop and maintain solid working relationships with key regional media to advance storytelling and best position executives and company 
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic counselor on messaging, reputation and issues management, media relations, and crisis communications 
  • Support internal communications priorities including creating and posting stories, updating region facts sheets and other information, working on the development and production of executive videos and e-newsletters, and posting executive advocacy events to the Corporate Communications intranet site 
  • Translate business and communications objectives for social and digital channels by developing and executing social media strategies and tactics for the regions, including posting on social media channels 
  • Provide project support for various corporate and line of business initiatives such as annual community campaigns, key sponsorships, special events and executive town hall meetings among others 
  • Track and measure results to ensure they are in line with intended outcomes and business objectives

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of communications experience in one or more of the following disciplines: public relations, media relations or corporate communications

Other Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience developing and executing communications strategies and plans that aligns with business objectives 
  • Experience developing compelling content and leveraging multiple channels for creative storytelling 
  • Experience in crisis communications or issues management, particularly for a large-consumer oriented organization 
  • Experience presenting information in a manner that persuades, educates, and enhances understanding at all levels 
  • Experience writing and executing communications plans across various social, internal, and digital channels 
  • Experience building strong relationships and collaborating across large organizations 
  • Experience working with national multicultural media outlets and diverse communities
