Florida Hospital seeks to hire a Senior Marketing Specialist who will embrace our mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ.

Established in 1908, Florida Hospital is one of the largest not-for-profit healthcare systems in the country, caring for more than a million patients each year. The 2,286-bed acute-care medical facility, comprised of eight hospitals, has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the best hospitals in the country for the past 10 years. It serves as a community hospital for Greater Orlando and as a major tertiary referral hospital for Central Florida and much of the Southeast, the Caribbean and Latin America.

Department Profile:

The Florida Hospital Marketing team is comprised of non-clinical staff responsible for the promotion of medical services and service-lines, programs and on-site capabilities to past, present and future patients of Florida Hospitals. We work directly with administration, physicians, clinical staff and service line experts to insure an accurate representation of hospital capabilities as it relates to both the campus and the Florida Brand entity.

Senior Marketing Specialist

Job Summary:

Responsible for the development of yearly marketing plans for service line and contribution to campus plan. Actively gains knowledge on market competitors, and is actively engaged with research and market analysis. Tracks results of marketing initiatives and reports return on investment related to service line volume goals. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develops yearly marketing plans for service areas assigned. 
  • Develops tracking mechanisms to ensure return on investment of key marketing initiatives. 
  • Develops quarterly ROI reports for service line administration and Marketing Director. 
  • Gains knowledge of competitor’s products and pricing on an on-going basis and shares information with service line administration and Marketing Director. 
  • Works closely with CHN counterpart in the development of sales tools and collaterals for key services. 
  • Effectively articulates issues and proposes appropriate resolutions to issues that may impact marketability and volume from physicians/clients. 
  • Designs and develops service line websites and web strategy incorporating search engine optimization and pay per click strategies. 
  • Works with internal web team/external vendors such as copywriters, photographers, and optimization firms. 
  • Responsible for event planning including: development of event vision, staffing, catering, venue, internal event team coordination, and ROI reporting. 
  • Gathers research analysis and marketing information to develop initiatives that target areas to reach volume and perception goals. 
  • Actively seeking internship candidates. 
  • Assists in on-boarding, project management, and performance review.

Knowledge, Skills, Education, & Experience Required:

  • Associate’s degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising or Health Science, OR fields 
  • Two years or more experience in the marketing and/or sales field. 
  • Fundamental knowledge of marketing and public relations 
  • Ability to work well with others using tact and diplomacy 
  • Ability to multi-task and take direction in a matrix work environment 
  • Strong organizational skills 
  • Self starter 
  • General knowledge of computer programs including but not limited to Microsoft office, Outlook, Lotus Notes, First Look, and Adobe Reader. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Ability to implement initiatives in a strategic manner with minimal supervision 
  • Ability to work well with others using tact and diplomacy

Full Time: Monday – Thursday 8am – 5pm, Friday 8am-2:30pm
