Senior Corporate Communications Manager

The Senior Corporate Communications Manager will be responsible for building the company's corporate narrative and driving the PR strategy for the company's corporate reputation. You will ensure that the right programs are being delivered to the right audiences and generate visibility for the (ISC)2 brand vision and mission. This position provides strategic direction and oversight of public relations, editorial media, social media, reputation management, and crisis communications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight, strategic direction, and messaging for corporate communications programs and written communications, including electronic and print communications, company publications, media / press materials, customer communications, and social media / online engagement communications;
  • Manage the department budget for Corporate Communications;
  • Develop a variety of communications materials: press releases, newsletters, website content, fact sheets, news articles, media pitches, employee messages, PowerPoint slides, speeches, letters, and customer communications on an as needed basis;
  • Ensure all communications products meet legal and regulatory requirements / approvals;
  • Manage global Public Relations function, including regional vendors
  • Lead the development of internal communications channels
  • Manage global speaking engagements calendar
  • Oversee and/or Develop presentations/prepares speakers
  • Manage member announcements as part of global communications calendar
  • Complete special writing projects as assigned (industry guides, annual report, executive comment/correspondence, etc.)
  • Develop/manage crisis communications plan
  • Serve as a backup to corporate spokespersons
  • Provide media training for appointed organization representatives
  • Lead social media activities with targeted metrics and goals
  • Miscellaneous duties, as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or related field required
  • Master’s of Business Administration or Communications desired
  • Public relations (experience with global media a plus) (10 years)
  • Corporate communications (10 years)
  • Fluency in other languages desired

Physical & Mental:

  • Regular daily attendance at the ISC2 office
  • Travel up to 10 % of the time.
  • Work extended hours or overtime, when necessary
  • Work in an office environment using dual monitor computer screens
