As the Senior Communications Specialist, you will be responsible for the planning, implementation and management of Media Relations and Communications strategies to drive reputation development, brand visibility, and business growth for FieldEdge!

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Marketing, you will play a key role in developing high-quality communications materials across multiple channels and platforms, and ensure smooth and efficient delivery in all aspects of our public relations efforts.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build communication strategies and targeted campaigns to drive industry, customer and brand awareness 
  • Create, edit, and implement communications materials including, but not limited to, press releases, newsletters, blogs, infographics and social media content 
  • Develop and execute media relations strategies to enhance and promote our industry position 
  • Continuously monitor competitors, partners and local, national, and international media, identifying opportunities to drive earned, paid and owned content through social and traditional media 
  • Support the Senior Manager of Marketing in executing a strong and effective yearly marketing calendar 
  • Build and nurture media and social influencer relationships to help grow company reputation and visibility 
  • Proactively identify media and public relations opportunities, including pitching story ideas to target media stakeholders 
  • Measure results and performance/impact of initiatives, including social media and media relations efforts 
  • Support the overall marketing strategy and ensure consistency with brand voice

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, or Marketing required 
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in Communications, Public Relations, Content Creation 
  • Prior experience developing and executing a strategic communications plan 
  • Excellent writing, proofreading and editing skills with exceptional attention to detail 
  • Experience with corporate branding/rebranding 
  • Advanced proficiency with social media platforms, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Google+, YouTube, and additional channels 
  • Experience working both independently and in a team oriented, collaborative environment is essential 
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment 
  • A high degree of personal motivation, a desire to make an immediate contribution, and possession of a distinct sense of urgency 
  • SaaS start-up experience is an asset
