Media Buyer (Market Research Analyst)
Central and Northeast Florida
Orlando, FL


The Media Buyer is responsible for the development and execution of digital marketing objectives, strategies, plans and tactics to drive results for Academic Partners. The Media Buyer serves as the primary point of contact between media partners and internal Account Management teams to satisfy our partner’s media advertising needs. Candidates should be well-versed in the strategies and technology behind media buying and planning. The Media Buyer may be allocated to focus on a particular component of the marketing life cycle and / or channel and collaborate with others in evaluating decisions/solutions.

General Responsibilities:

Responsibilities are applicable based on the position focus/channel.

  • Analyze and execute new and potential product/services, markets, and advertising opportunities. 
  • Collect and review current/prospective consumer data, competitors and marketing/channel sources and provide insights for partner promotion. 
  • Prepare reports that interpret consumer behavior, market opportunities/conditions, marketing results, trends, and investment levels. 
  • Design and execute digital marketing strategies to deliver conversions on Pearson-owned web properties. 
  • Investigate & provide strategic recommendations to optimize marketing and advertising channels to drive campaign results and exceed defined objectives. 
  • Identify and present new/innovative opportunities to drive digital ROI. 
  • Collaborate with Account Management and Media & Analytics leadership to conceptualize, execute, and report on campaign strategy and effectiveness. 
  • Assist in the development of presentation materials/findings for both internal leadership and external Academic partners. 
  • Manage relationships with various vendors, working closely to optimize budget and drive performance. 
  • Deliver on-going and in-depth data analysis to spot trends/shifts in the media landscape and leverage opportunities to improve performance and ROI. 
  • Collaborate across channels with other teams to provide partner with a holistic view of their digital footprint and better understanding of how each channel interacts with each other. 
  • Participate in partner meetings to discuss account performance, interpretation of data, and actionable plans based on findings. 
  • Steward and maintain channel(s) budget/performance including forecasting and reporting. 
  • Provide World Class Marketing Client Service Management by creating synergies with our internal teams & Academic Partners which empower us to exceed our objectives.

General Qualifications:

  • 4-year degree from an accredited institution in Marketing or equivalent discipline OR appropriate combination of experience and education. 

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the following areas:

  • Experience with developing, negotiating/purchasing, managing, reporting, analysis and forecasting of digital media campaigns. 
  • Experience in or with direct response marketing for lead generation, channels, sources, best practices and KPI’s. 
  • Experience with web analytics platforms. 
  • Superior attention to detail, excellent organizational and project management skills. 
  • Ability to multi-task while working well under pressure with tight deadlines.
