Role Overview:

The marketing communications specialist will handle all aspects of trade show and event planning and will provide expert copyrighting, editing, and project management on various marketing initiatives in support of brand development and awareness, new business development, and client retention.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage event calendar and provide project management and logistical coordination for all trade shows and other corporate events 
  • Coordinate industry association memberships and other community support initiatives 
  • Provide copywriting and editing for blog, social media, advertising, email marketing, sales collateral, pre- and post-event communications, website content, presentations, press releases, internal communications, and other sales and marketing materials 
  • Support presentation development with editing, formatting, and packaging, ensuring brand standards are met and slides have clean, consistent formatting 
  • Ensure all marketing materials are consistent with messaging framework and brand identity standards 
  • Work with Human Resources and Director of Marketing to support internal communications initiatives 
  • Support proposal development process as assigned; act as back-up proposal writer for project overflow and support 
  • Coordinate branded items research, purchasing, fulfillment, inventory management, and tracking 
  • Manage timely campaign execution, distribution and reporting to track outreach effectiveness 
  • Manage corporate social media accounts and execute postings and tracking reach 
  • Manage marketing collateral print requests, business cards, and other printing needs 
  • Manage centralized repository of sales and marketing resources and brand templates 
  • Support other marketing initiatives as needed

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required (Business, Marketing, Journalism or English preferred) 
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in marketing communications required 
  • Excellent writing, proofreading and editing skills required 
  • Event management experience required 
  • Exceptional attention to detail required 
  • Solid project management skills a must 
  • Expert-level Microsoft Office Skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint preferred 
  • Experience with HubSpot and WordPress preferred 
  • Graphic design skills preferred but not required 
  • Motivated self-starter and multi-tasker with strong work ethic required 
  • Ability to work in a challenging, fast-paced environment
