Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is currently seeking a talented professional for the role of a Manager - Resource Development (RD) and Communications, Haiti. The RD and Communications Manager, Haiti is responsible for managing the unrestricted revenue for Habitat Haiti through individual donors and tithing affiliates.

They maintain regular communication with both donors, affiliates and implement donor recognition and engagement. The position serves as a Senior Management Employee (SME) for programs in Haiti to the greater Resource Development Team in HFHI and works closely with the Tithe department. They work closely with the National Director and serve as a part of the Senior Management Team in Haiti. This position will be based in Atlanta, GA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage communications function for Habitat Haiti including donor reporting, social media, website and PR.
  • Maintains a system for tracking, reporting and engaging donors and affiliates.
  • Creates and implements opportunities to host donors and affiliate leaders in Haiti for exposure to programs and understanding of cultural context and methodology.
  • Supervises a local Communications and Partnership Specialist on the ground in Haiti.
  • Develops Concept Notes and ensures good donor reporting in conjunction with HFHH leadership.
  • Produces publications, reports and ensures brand management across all of Habitat Haiti.
  • Develops and implements a strategic plan for resource development and communications in conjunction with Habitat Haiti's 3-5 year strategic plan.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 5 years of related experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and a general comfort level working with technology systems (SharePoint, webpage design and online meeting software, etc.).
  • Experience with Habitat for Humanity and/or other federated nonprofit organizations.
  • Track record of strong collaboration and communication across teams and departments.
  • Proven expertise and success in fundraising with a variety of donor types (individual, faith-based, corporate, foundation), through an array of strategies (direct mail, events, individual asks, planned giving).
  • Candidates should demonstrate an understanding of the Habitat for Humanity mission and possess outstanding people skills.
  • Able work well with senior-most leaders with minimal oversight.
  • Able to work independently and command respect with people across departments and levels.
  • Motivated self-starter and ability to work independently, meet deadlines, manage multiple tasks and be resourceful.
  • Well-developed communication skills, written and verbal, and the ability to effectively communicate across the organization.
  • Project management experience.

Preferred:

  • Cross Cultural experience.

Beneficial but not required:

  • Experience with CRM products and/or database management and reporting.
