Job Description:

The position is Manager, Marketing for Harris Corporation with specific responsibility for leading and executing the strategy and plan to assure a world-class visitor experience at the Harris Global Innovation Center. The successful candidate will combine customer understanding, marketing intelligence and technology savvy to conceive and deliver engaging, interactive and high impact visitor experiences that further Harris’ strategic goals and reinforce the company values. Responsible for building stakeholder relationships, managing a budget and driving continuous improvement, the role will be based in Melbourne, Florida.


  • Collaborate with corporate communications and business development teams to execute the strategy and plan to showcase Harris’ capabilities through the Global Innovation Center. Drive flawless execution of the plan.
  • Supervise a small team of marketing and communications professionals, providing clear goals/objectives and regular oversight, and fostering an environment of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Establish and monitor metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of meetings and events and expenditures while driving synergies and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and manage positive visitor engagements.
  • Interface with Board of Directors, C Suite executives, customers, legislators and other VIPs to ensure a positive experience.
  • Collaborate with teams in strategy, engineering, business development and marketing gather data and craft materials that demonstrate and bring to life Harris capabilities and solutions.
  • Development of solutions to showcase Harris capabilities through digital platforms and traditional displays.
  • Develop and present executive briefings.
  • Manage multiple vendors, team members and stakeholders to ensure flawless management of the experience center, meetings and events. Ensure all events are completed within budget.
  • Utilize HBX to deliver continuous improvement and operational excellence to all aspects of the department. Drive toward 100% of the team earning yellow belt level in HBX with a timeframe to be agreed upon with department head.


  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline, MBA preferred 
  • 7-10 years of related experience in A&D, B2B or B2G markets 
  • Experience in a Leadership position in event management or customer service role.

  • Proven effective presentation, facilitation, and demonstration skills, with strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Strong interest and capability in interactive technology. 
  • A strategic, results-oriented mindset with ability to provide regular hands-on support. 
  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve, prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. 
  • Ability to deliver measurable results in a high-pressure environment. 
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others and to work collaboratively in order to produce results across multiple functional teams. 
  • Adaptable to a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment while showing grace under pressure 
  • Impeccable ethics and business integrity. 
  • Computer and web literate, with strong proficiency in Excel, Power Point, Outlook, the effective use of the web, and event/project management databases
