Position Details

Intern - Marketing Communications Specialist
Metro Atlanta and North Georgia
Alpharetta, GA

Completes assigned project-focused opportunity in a specific business unit or function, working directly with an Intern Coordinator and Sponsor.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be currently enrolled in a degree program for the duration of the internship to be eligible 
  • 3.0 minimum GPA 
  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor degree program and scheduled to graduate in the spring of 2019 or sooner.

General Skills:

  • Willingness to learn, develop, and contribute in a fun, fast-paced environment. Self-starter that brings both interpersonal skills and creative problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to speak in front of groups for the purpose of engaging the audience in meaningful learning 
  • Self-starter with the ability to quickly learn new applications and work independently 
  • Excellent team skills

Communications Skills:

Develop all communication related artifacts, including communication strategy (as applicable), plan, development, review, and publishing of communication messages for a project. Based on communication plan, specific tasks could include:

  • Write feature articles and success stories 
  • Assist with creation of email bulletins including writing, editing, formatting and distribution 
  • Write, edit and format training materials and educational aids 
  • Develop creative concepts

Work with the appropriate BU or corporate communicators to, as needed depending up project

Create presentations for internal educational and knowledge-sharing sessions


  • Must be currently enrolled in a degree program for the duration of the internship to be eligible
