AGCO’s Global Communications Manager will work across all AGCO regions to coordinate the development and implementation of an integrated global marketing communications strategy to support the corporate communications goals. Specifically, this position will conceptualize and execute communication projects and programs to enhance AGCO’s position as a leading, innovative thought-leader in the agricultural equipment and solutions industry to a wide variety of audiences.

Job Function and Responsibilities:

The Global Communications Manager works collaboratively with the Chief Communications Officer and Director, Corporate Communications to develop and execute corporate marketing and communications strategies and activities to consistently position AGCO’s corporate brand positively to internal and external stakeholders, while controlling costs and establishing quality.

Responsibilities for this position include corporate creative management and support aligned with brand guidelines; public relations support related to serving the needs of media relations, public affairs, investor communications, employees/prospective employees, end-customers and other key corporate audiences; plus serves as secondary contact for AGCO social media program as well as AGCO’s media monitoring program.

  • Corporate creative development and management: Manages creative projects and programs from concept to production for the organization with external vendors
  • Responsible for developing ideas and coordinating with a variety of internal stakeholders to ensure a proper brand vision and high quality execution
  • Enhance corporate messaging including writing corporate press releases and developing supporting assets for internal and external audiences to support a wide variety of initiatives and management needs
  • Works in connection with finance team to support investor relations communications, including the corporate annual report, presentations and videos that enhance overall corporate image
  • Participate as an active member the global public relations team, working with brand public relations managers to execute communication projects and supporting crisis communications
  • Manage and maintain news.agcocorp.com to support AGCO’s media relations
  • Serves as a backup contact for the AGCO corporate social media channels and program
  • Serves as a backup contact for AGCO‘s media monitoring program which includes running reports and producing the internal media report newsletter
  • Monitor and support select public affairs related activities

This role will identify, engage and collaborate with a variety of cross-functional teams. This position is located at AGCO's Global and North American headquarters in Duluth, GA.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Work in an environment where self-sufficiency and self-direction is a must 
  • Possess the ability to be forward thinking, able to seek out and apply new technologies 
  • Background and experience in developing business requirements and then moving requirements forward and managing the development of the end product 
  • Must be able to interact successfully with technical resources as well as business people 
  • Strong understanding of strategic marketing and communications principles 
  • Must be able to facilitate discovery research to identify and build programs where they may not exist and effectively communicate those to the regions/brands as required 
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Must possess ability to articulate AGCO’ s strategies, tactics and positions in verbal and written form 
  • Experience in Public Relations, Marketing, Advertising, Social Media, Program Management 
  • Experience in directing staff and agencies including creative freelancers and video production companies 
  • Experience in directing and supporting events 
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Photoshop/InDesign) 
  • Ability and aptitude to learn new software to support digital communications & media monitoring 
  • Experience supporting diversity/inclusion communication programs preferred 
  • Ability to work virtually with remote colleagues from around the world 
  • Ability to identify and implement process improvements and cost reduction/avoidance measures 
  • Must keep abreast of latest trends in public relations, digital communications / social media and corporate communications in order to provide consulting and strategic council 
  • Experience in financial analysis and management, and in preparing and managing project and departmental budgets 
  • Good working knowledge of AGCO’s operations 
  • Good understanding and interest in the agricultural machinery industry 
  • Foreign language skills are desirable, but not essential

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration or related discipline; MBA preferred 
  • Minimum 6 years of Marketing, Branding and Communications experience 
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders and executives to achieve positive outcomes 
  • Online and social media experience 
  • Project Management experience

Travel Required: 10%
