Set in the heart of downtown Miami and designed by world-renowned architect Cesar Pelli, the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County is one of the world’s leading performing arts organizations and venues. The Adrienne Arsht Center is proud to be home to three artistic resident partners:

  • Florida Grand Opera: formed in 1994 by the merger of Greater Miami Opera and The Opera Guild Inc. of Fort Lauderdale FGO stands as one of the oldest performing arts organizations in Florida. It combines a rich history of presenting internationallyacclaimed artists, lesser known operas by great composers as well as commissions of works of living composers.
  • Miami City Ballet: is among the largest ballet companies in the country. Since 1986, MCB has toured more than 100 U.S. cities, Europe, Great Britain, South America, Central America, and Israel. MCB currently performs in four counties in Florida with an active repertoire of 98 ballets.
  • New World Symphony, America’s Orchestral Academy: prepares graduates for leadership position in orchestras and ensembles around the world. Since its inaugural concert in 1988 NWS has performed around the globe.


Position Details

E-Commerce Manager
South Florida
Miami, FL

Basic Function:

The E-Commerce Manager leads the in-house, day-to-day operation of the e-commerce program, working at both the strategic and operational level. This individual has a combination of strong project management and hands-on technical skills.

With a focus on patron satisfaction and audience development and retention in a deadlinedriven environment, the individual will oversee the Center’s SEO/SEM, e-mail and social media campaigns as well as all website design, front- and back-end functionality, and updates. This position is also responsible for leading the Center into new media, testing and securing the latest new technologies to ensure efficiencies and maximizing revenue.

Immediate Priorities:

The E-Commerce Manager’s immediate priorities:

  • Oversee implementation plan for mobile-ready website redesign 
  • Become proficient in T-stats and RMA software; provide regular data support for marketing.
  • Manage social media agency. 
  • Implement and manage SEM campaigns to meet marketing goals. 
  • Conduct needs analysis for email marketing automation.


Counted among the responsibilities of the E-Commerce Manager will be to:

  • Oversee all digital marketing, including website and e-mail campaigns, coordinating with appropriate internal and external partners for proper approvals. 
  • Strategize, create, and implement e-mail campaigns to increase and maximize all ticket-selling activities and communications for the Center’s e-mail lists. 
  • Work across departments to gather requirements for web and email content, and to determine delivery method of new content (web pages, podcasts, video, emails, newsletters, social, etc.). 
  • Implement workflow processes to manage continuous requests for changes and enhancements. 
  • Lead strategy for all online and new media initiatives. 
  • Work with every department in the Center; set priorities for multiple projects competing for scarce time and resources.
  • Manage and deliver online web and media projects both internally and externally, including website redesigns, micro sites, mobile sites and applications, as well as piloting new sites. 
  • Manage E-Commerce Assistant, whose primary responsibility is the creation and deployment of external promotional e-mails. 
  • Manage all vendor and consultant relationships for online and e-commerce services. 
  • Select and coordinate with third party vendors and other resources involved in web and design work for the Center. 
  • Propose technology to support content management and distribution. 
  • Maintain regular, thorough, and actionable statistics and analytics to understand customer behavior, and to drive customer satisfaction, acquisition and retention. 
  • Stay current with other performing arts organizations and drive improvements for best practices in innovation and technology, including web analytics and social media. 
  • Work with marketing colleagues to enhance usage and implementation of all Center online patron survey initiatives. 
  • Oversee scheduling and content of Center’s in-house digital signage system, in coordination with IT. 
  • Provide regular data support for marketing department through T-stats and RMA software. 
  • Implement and manage high quality and strategic writing standards for online content. 
  • Keep the Center current, implementing the latest, successful mobile applications and technologies. 
  • Interact with internal and external users to provide web technical support. 
  • Ensure digital marketing campaigns promote a unified brand experience. 
  • If it’s online, you’re the go-to expert, leader and executor. 
  • Other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Marketing.

Ideal Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, management information systems, or related field with additional focus on marketing or general business. 
  • 3+ years of experience in a role involving complex project/change implementations related to e-commerce, corporate, or arts organization internet presence.
  • Track record managing and implementing measurable SEO/SEM, social media and email campaigns and proven ability to recommend and put into effect strategies and technologies that provide positive return on investment. 
  • Significant understanding of ASP, .NET, XML, and HTML languages as well as relational database integration in the form of an API. 
  • Web ticketing experience. 
  • Tessitura API experience. 
  • Skills and/or experience with SQL or Access. 
  • Ability to direct the coding of functionality supporting detailed business requirements. 
  • Web server file management experience. 
  • Experience with streaming media, flash, web casting, and design studios such as Adobe or Macromedia. 
  • Experience working in an Arts and/or non-profit environment. 
  • Experience with T-stats and RMA software. 
  • Strong writing skills; strong communication skills. 
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus. 
  • E-commerce experience in the Miami market a plus.
