Purpose of Your Work:

At Checkers & Rally’s we make a difference in people’s lives by serving our Franchisees, Teams, and Guests. As the Director of Public relations, you will be building and initiating the PR strategy for the company system wide. You will be the creator of the Checkers & Rally’s story and voice to employees, franchisees, reporters and other stakeholders. Through the strategy you create, you will have tremendous impact on enhancing the public relations and communication process.

How You Make A Difference Everyday:

  • Exerting influence, as well as collaborating, and navigating at all levels of the company and outside partners 
  • Create well-crafted, concise and highly engaging communications strategies for both internal and external use 
  • Establishes a strategic business partner relationship to franchise development leaders by providing communications counsel and proactive programs to help drive growth 
  • Serves as consultant to the business in the areas of crisis management, corporate reputation and developing plans on an ongoing and proactive basis 
  • Continually seek and drive new and incremental business opportunities by partnering with the Restaurant Development Department 
  • Executing annual convention preparation, communication and launch strategies

You've Got This:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field 
  • 7 to 10 years of related Public Relations experience 
  • Highly skilled in crisis management strategies 
  • Proven ability to create and execute internal communication plan 
  • Strong cross functional collaboration skills 
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communications skills 
  • Strong work ethic, hands on approach, high attention to detail 
  • Commitment to our core values of integrity, service, excellence, and courage to be bold 
  • High energy to keep up with our fast paced environment
