The Corporate Marketing Communications Manager is the communication expert in determining the channel mix for strategic corporate campaigns. In this role, you will use your expertise, influence, and innovative thinking to contribute to the success of Publix.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing and managing customer and associate marketing campaigns for product and/or relationship corporate communication strategies intended to drive company sales and profits, as well as building brand equity 
  • Responsible for determining the communication strategy and initiating the creative development for corporate marketing campaigns 
  • Responsible for managing campaign budget allocations totaling $12 million for customer-directed marketing campaigns 
  • Responsible for providing direction to internal and external resources to ensure the marketing campaigns are on time, fulfill communication strategy and on budget 
  • Responsible for providing expert counsel on consumer communication usage trends and identifying marketing campaigns to try innovative communication projects and use insights from reports to improve future results 
  • Responsible for effectively evaluating, negotiating, securing, and managing corporate marketing and sponsorship programs 
  • Responsible for dedicating time to Marketing innovation and quality improvement, and 
  • Responsible for managing special Marketing Communications related assignments

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Mass Communications, Business Administration or equivalent experience 
  • Minimum of four years of marketing communications experience working with project budgets 
  • Knowledge of marketing principles, processes, tools, techniques, and marketing communications planning 
  • Knowledge of the strengths and weaknesses of print (magazine, direct mail, newspaper,) broadcast (radio and TV) digital and social communication channels (online) and their related production methods 
  • Knowledge of the resources the Marketing department provides to support other Publix departments 
  • Knowledge of Retail, Corporate Purchasing and other Publix Support Departments’ operations 
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs 
  • Project management, problem solving and budget management skills 
  • Skilled in analyzing market research data, financial data, consumer research and database trends 
  • Communicate effectively in written and verbal formats to all levels of support and management 
  • Ability to work effectively as a leader or member of a cross-functional team 
  • Leadership, presentation and time management skills 
  • Negotiation skills 
  • Work with minimal direct supervision and a team player attitude 
  • Demonstrated commitment to being accountable for results, plus the ability and initiative to accept a high level of responsibility 
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends or at home as needed 
  • Willingness to travel with overnight stays up to one week or longer

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Business Administration or equivalent experience 
  • Minimum of six years’ experience in marketing communications in a large company/retailer with budget management responsibilities 
  • Knowledge of project management comput
