Position Details

Corporate Marketing Communications Manager
Southwest Florida
Lakeland, FL


  • develop and manage customer and associate marketing campaigns for product and/or relationship corporate communications strategies intended to drive company sales and profits, as well as building brand equity 
  • determine the communication strategy and initiating the creative development for corporate marketing campaigns 
  • manage campaign budget allocations totaling $12 million for customer-directed marketing campaigns 
  • provide direction to internal and external resources to ensure the marketing campaigns are on time, fulfill communication strategy and on budget 
  • provide expert counsel on consumer communication usage trends and identifying marketing campaigns to try innovative communication projects and use insights from reports to improve future results 
  • effectively evaluate, negotiate, secure, and manage corporate marketing and sponsorship programs. 
  • dedicate time to Marketing innovation and quality improvement 
  • manage special Marketing Communications related assignments

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Mass Communications, Business Administration or equivalent experience 
  • Minimum of four years of marketing communications experience working with project budgets 
  • Knowledge of marketing principles, processes, tools, techniques, and marketing communications planning 
  • Knowledge of the strengths and weaknesses of print (magazine, direct mail, newspaper,) broadcast (radio and TV) digital and social communication channels (online) and their related production methods 
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and project management computer software programs 
  • Project management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of six years experience in marketing communications in a large company/retailer with budget management responsibilities 
  • Knowledge of the resources the Marketing department provides to support other Publix departments 
  • Knowledge of Retail, Corporate Purchasing and other Publix Support Departments’ operations
