Content Marketing Specialist

BST Global is looking for a Content Marketing Specialist with a passion for writing and a drive for lead generation. The Content Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing relevant, engaging, and targeted content for an international audience of architects, engineers, and environmental consultants. Working closely with the Sales and Marketing teams, the Content Marketing Specialist will create strategic digital and traditional marketing collateral designed to improve brand awareness, increase qualified web traffic, advance conversion rates, nurture relationships with both prospects and clients, and drive service excellence. The ideal Content Marketing Specialist has strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to simplify complex information into relevant, compelling content.


  • Work closely with Digital Marketing Manager to execute global content marketing strategy 
  • Develop new content and repurpose existing content for Sales and Marketing initiatives, including content for web, blog, email campaigns, digital advertisements, social media sites, videos, webinars, presentations, brochures, and other publications, as needed 
  • Manage company website and blog, including, but not limited to, content updates and postings, topic generation, author consultations, copyediting, and editorial calendar maintenance 
  • Edit Sales and Marketing content (presentations, articles, proposals, etc.) to ensure consistent tone, messaging, and branding across all campaigns 
  • Work closely with Corporate Event and Sponsorship Specialist to develop messaging for promoting in-person and online events, as well as marketing collateral for sponsorship packages 
  • Manage SEO strategy to ensure web content is optimized for driving qualified traffic to website 
  • Develop and maintain ongoing editorial calendar to manage content development and distribution process 
  • Develop and maintain an organized content and messaging library for Sales and Marketing teams to easily access on demand 
  • Work across departments on content-related initiatives, assisting with branding, templates, and content creation, as needed 
  • Analyze and communicate performance against content marketing benchmarks 
  • Stay up-to-date on architecture and engineering industry trends and challenges to proactively develop compelling communication and messaging plans for the BST Global target audience 
  • Perform ongoing research of content marketing best practices to identify necessary updates and new market opportunities 
  • Work with third party vendors (design, video, content translation companies, etc.) on marketing campaigns, as needed


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Extensive experience with writing and editing targeted, action-driving content for key buyer personas 
  • Proficient knowledge of content marketing best practices, technical tactics, and strategies 
  • Working knowledge of SEO best practices 
  • Ability to work with Content Management Systems (WordPress preferred) 
  • Working knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics) 
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret data to optimize results; and to effectively communicate performance to management through email, written reports, presentations, etc. 
  • Strong project management skills 
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and organized, with proven ability to multi-task and solve problems 
  • Ability to learn quickly, stay current, and adapt to a constantly changing marketing industry 
  • Ability to work in a team environment 
  • Well-versed in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Outlook, as well as Internet-based applications 
  • Experience working with marketing automation software (HubSpot, Marketo, etc.), preferred


  • Four-year BA/BS degree in marketing, advertising, or related field 
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in content marketing 
  • Experience with B2B marketing a plus 
  • Experience in a technology company preferred (software a plus)


  • Marketing Automation Software (HubSpot, Marketo, etc.) certification a plus 
  • Google AdWords and Analytics certification a plus
