Position Details

Communications Specialist - Contract
Metro Atlanta and North Georgia
Duluth, GA


Assist in development and delivery of internal and external communications, including supporting internal employee events, updating internal and external digital media, company electronic mailings, supporting a variety of communication channels.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain/update internal communications channels including but not limited to publication of company newsletters, e-mailings, presentations, intranet and other digital materials. 
  • Assist in planning and maintenance of news flow calendar and coordination of other communication platforms and processes. 
  • Assist with Community Relations including local community outreach, charitable contributions/requests and employee volunteer activities. 
  • Plan and organize employee events to include, but not limited to: town hall meetings, WebEx events, small F2F meetings, etc. Assemble event metrics. 
  • Support Internal Communications Head in delivering the internal and external communications strategy to include team backup support as necessary and participation in local and US wide teams. 
  • Provide administrative & process support to team to include maintenance of mailing lists, company e-mailings, team meetings, information requests, vendor management, travel and other as needed.


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required 
  • 3-5 years experience in a Communications or Human Resources role preferred. 
  • Experience with a variety of software and technology to include but not limited to web development, AV equipment, MS office. 
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Must have excellent planning, organizing and implementation skills. 
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and continue to meet deadlines. 
  • Experience in managing complex schedules and calendars, travel arrangements, 
  • Extensive meeting coordination experience, including negotiation of location, amenities and price. 
  • Experience in effectively managing relationships with internal and external customers, including individuals in Executive level management, Governmental Authorities and dignitaries, etc. 
  • Experience in aligning communications tools with strategy and organizational style (business acumen). 
  • Excellent project management and priority-setting skills. 
  • Must exhibit good judgment. 
  • Ability to handle confidential information.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction 
  • Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required) 
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
