Change Communications Manager

What You'll Do:

The Change Communications Manager is a newly created role in the Digital Marketing Transformation Office. In this role you will manage the communications, training strategy, and plans for global, transformational initiatives across the marketing technology (martech) applications. This will include engagement, coaching, training, and communications for stakeholders and impacted users. You will use various digital channels to tell a cohesive marketing technology stack story.

You will own, develop, and deliver a robust and comprehensive communication plan for internal communications. This includes global, regional and country level audiences. You will ensure your messages are being delivered to the right audience at the right time, in a consistent and engaging format. You will prepare, write, and adapt strong copy across multiple formats and channels: written copy; presentations; speeches, blogs, and social in a simple, engaging, and connected manner. Your communications will move people through the digital transformation.

You will deploy a set of actionable and targeted change management plans including a communication plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, and a resistance management plan. You will develop plans and implement procesess to measure, evaluate, and report on awareness, knowledge, engagement, and overall satisfaction with the Transformation Office and the impact on the Digital Marketing Transformation Strategy. You will monitor the implementation of the communication and training strategy and report any significant deviation which might impact the overall program priorities.

You will leverage a change management methodology to ensure we stay focused on execution and impact for the people-side of change.

Who You’ll Work With:

Cisco’s Digital Marketing organization will lead the next evolution of the customer experience by engaging prospects and promoting Cisco solutions through digital channels (web, social, media, mobile, data. point of sale, etc.). This team will deliver insights and enable marketing to analyze marketing campaigns and optimize execution in real time.

Who You Are:

First and foremost you are a great communicator with a Bachelors Degree in Communications or a related degree. In addition, you have at least 5 years of communications experience, specifically for change management. You have demonstrated experience in leading communication in complex change programs in a global organization. You have expertise in producing organization-wide communications and development of a communication strategy. You have worked side-by-side with trainers to develop a cohesive communications and training plan. You have likely worked on large scale initiatives such as ERP, Shared Services, or CRM implementations.

You understand change management principles and methodologies (ADKAR) and have the ability to define a flexible, unique approach based on the business group, culture and location. You have experience leading, developing, and executing against a comprehensive communications program for multiple change initiatives.

You are proud of your track record for delivering major business change programs, including executive alignment and stakeholder management. You have the ability to manage and execute multiple projects with transparency and high quality/attention to detail. You have strong presentation, communication skills, and decision making skills with the ability to balance conflicting needs and influence others toward a common vision/goal.

Our minimum requirements for this position are:

  • Bachelors degree in Communications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience developing communications for large scale change management
  • Demonstrated ability to engage your audience through thoughtful storytelling. (Samples will be requested)

Our desired requirements for this position are:

  • Working knowledge of change management methodologies, such as ADKAR
  • Familiarity with digital marketing and marketing technology (CRM, marketing automation)
