Position Details

Assistant Marketing Manager
South Carolina
Isle of Palms, SC

The Assistant Marketing Manager builds awareness and revenue for the Resort; working in partnership with the Marketing Design and Production Coordinators, Marketing Communications Manager, Director of Marketing, Director of Sales and Marketing, Managing Director, and all other departments within the property; working in close partnership with Destination Hotels & Resorts and Lowe Enterprises. He/She demonstrates superior writing and editing skills, the ability to effectively manage his/her time while working in a fast-paced, active sales and marketing office, generating revenue and maintaining Wild Dunes Resort’s reputation as a premier resort in the southeast.


  • Develop creative marketing campaigns to support key business channels of the Resort, increasing awareness, driving revenue, and enhancing guest loyalty 
  • Assist in managing agencies to support marketing campaigns, including digital agency, PR agency and creative agency 
  • Manage Design and Production Coordinator supporting key business channels, including providing creative direction, coaching and mentorship 
  • Coordinate and execute resort email campaigns, including copywriting, strategic list segmentation, deployment, internal distribution and post-deployment reporting for continual optimization 
  • Manage social media planning and execution, including content generation for various platforms to include, but not limited to: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Snapchat, Youtube, Perioscope, LinkedIn 
  • Write weekly blog posts supporting social media campaigns and marketing communications schedule 
  • Monitor, publish and coordinate response to Wild Dunes Resort user-generated website content submissions typically including resort blog, photo and Ask-A-Pro posts 
  • Monitor Resort reviews across online review platforms and coordinate and publish responses 
  • Provide for ongoing website updates including packages, special offers, accolades, and other areas as needed 
  • Ensure all content on partner and third party sites (as well as the corporate website) is accurate and provide for periodic audits and updates 
  • Respond to corporate requests for package implementation, factual information updates, social media content, etc. 
  • Assist in and oversee photo and video shoots and offsite marketing events as needed 
  • Work with internal departments to coordinate planning logistics for campaigns 
  • Along with other members of the marketing team, assist in proofing all marketing materials before deployment 
  • Participate in team ideations to generate new ideas to support business needs 
  • Be digitally curious, exploring new opportunities for Resort and testing new initiatives 
  • Compile monthly marketing communications as needed 
  • Create press kits and update press kit materials as needed 
  • Complete database entry for email opt-in submissions from on-property and event marketing collection 
  • Attend monthly departmental ancillary revenue meetings and coordinate and execute implementation of revenue driving action items 
  • Participate in all meetings as deemed necessary 
  • Special projects and tasks, as required

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree with a background in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or Business 
  • 1-2 years of Marketing experience required 
  • 1-2 years hospitality experience preferred 
  • Social media expertise across numerous channels required 
  • Computer skills to include word, excel, and powerpoint required
