Summary

The Director, Communications is responsible for preparing and delivering engaging communications through multiple vehicles.

Description
  • Develop and execute strategies and messages to support effective, timely and accurate communications to internal and external stakeholders 
  • Support the continued development of a public relations/media relations competency, may include strategic planning, management and execution of media relations 
  • Accountable for managing internal communication vehicles (screens, website, portals) 
  • Measuring communication program effectiveness and adjusting as needed 
  • Execute national awards programs for industry, best place to work, and CSR awards 
  • Ability and enthusiasm for interviewing employees about complex and technical subjects to write features for a wide range of materials 
  • Editing and copywriting for all internal and external communications 
  • Assist other departments with communication needs and communication planning; act as a trusted advisor to the leadership team on communication subjects 
  • Lead Crisis Communications (IMCR) 
  • Partner with PAC to deliver effective external messaging 
  • Generates positive publicity for CCBF 
  • Responsible for Intranet and website content: updating and tracking Social Media messaging, reporting and tracking in partnership with leadership and Marketing 
  • Strategically plans internal communications including crafting and obtaining approvals. 
  • Liaison with Marketing on promoting opportunities for CCBF
Qualifications

Skills:

  • Proficient writing, 
  • Proofing skills, 
  • Social Media experience, 
  • Strong external media relationships or experience

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 6-8+ years experience in communications 
  • Relationships with media and key stakeholders 
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
