Summary

JOB SUMMARY:

Working under the supervision and guidance of a Marketing mentor, the successful candidate will learn the inner workings of the Marketing department. The Marketing Intern will assist with press releases, advertising initiatives, social media efforts, Brand Champion Program and the company newsletter / website.

Description

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  1. Support the administrative functions of the Marketing Department (entering purchase requests, ordering promotional / office materials)
  2. Focus on organizational change management initiatives to support the continued rollout of the Mission, Vision and Values to employees
  3. Follow competitive analysis of social media channels to research and identify social media trends and analysis
  4. Assist with reviewing social media posts, developing strategies to increase followers and engagement and reviewing and understanding Glassdoor
  5. Support the Brand Champion Program initiative (take minutes during meetings, prepare presentations, capture feedback)
  6. Participate in developing the intranet and website. Develop content, help train HAECO Americas employees on usage and support the initiative by gaining feedback
  7. Facilitate documentation of outdated Branding at the various sites
  8. Assist in building presentations for the Marketing department
  9. Learn to use and maintain the Marketing calendar
  10. Assist in writing Newsletter articles (includes interviewing, collecting information, photographing)
  11. May be asked to assist on / attend alternative projects (college job fairs, community events, Girls in Aviation, Aviation Day, Purple Heart Homes Golf Event)
  12. Document Marketing processes (Purchase requests / invoicing, press release approval process, Budget process, Brand Champion documentation)
Qualifications

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Current fulltime student / recent graduate or working towards a degree in Public Relations, Marketing and Business Administration, Communications and / or equivalent 
  2. Two years of college coursework towards bachelor’s degree 
  3. Possess demonstrable proficiency with personal computer systems with Microsoft Office 
  4. The candidate must be a self-starter, highly motivated and able to work under pressure 
  5. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills strong organizational skills, and the ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language

PREFERRED:

  1. Working Knowledge of Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Glassdoor, MS Publisher, e-newsletter software and SharePoint 
  2. Experience with or desire to work in aviation / aerospace / manufacturing industry
